Purple Day was arranged by Hajvery University Debating Society (HUDS). Everybody arrived dressed up in purple clothes, which was the dress code. The basic theme of the event was to spread the message of peace and give the students and faculty a day where they could just relax and enjoy themselves after a hectic academic routine.
The campus was beautifully decorated with purple and white balloons, ribbons, and drapes. A D.J was arranged for the students. There were different performances and competitions for  the students such as the cultural performance on the patriotic song, best male and female dress competition, best appearance competition and the cultural dance on drums. The students enjoyed themselves immensely on the dance floor, grooving to the DJs beats.
The Chief guests and Executive Panel of HUDS cut a cake to celebrate the day. Later the students waived balloons to symbolize the event as a celebration of peace and release. Different food stalls were arranged for the students. Nescafe gave away free coffee. The university also arranged free lunch for the students. The event was given media coverage by City 42 and Express-News. The function ended with welcoming words by the Executive Panel of HUDS.
